Nick’s Place For Us operates as an open community with no social or economic banners in order to offer a safe community environment in which to learn, explore and be themselves. We are an ‘All Welcome Community.
The goal of Nick’s Place For Us is to use the arts as a non-threatening entry point to mentorships, job readiness training, self-discovery, healing, life skills and more provided by a caring and committed volunteer base who work hard to keep programming accessible to all.
While programming may begin with a basic visual arts session the possibilities are endless taking cues from our youth advisory board and the public. We create programming based on identified need.
Current programming includes educational support, wellness programming, visual, performing and literary arts programs, mentorships, summer camps, seniors 55+ programming and more.
Our youth are a vital resource and at Nick’s Place For Us we operate as a family providing services, getting to know the youth on an individual and personal level through hands on relationship building and mentorship which allows us to identify needs and point youth towards programs which may benefit them currently and into the future.
